Established in 2000, Dan J. Heid – Planning & Design LLC is a residential building design firm servicing homeowners, builders, contractors, developers, realtors and lumberyards. Our services include site review, concept design, construction drawings and specifications, presentation renderings and animations, 3D study models and bidding/construction phase consulting. We specialize in the creation of new custom homes, whole house remodling, additions, kitchens, bathrooms, cabins, guest cottages and luxury lake homes.
Owner and Professional Building Designer, Dan J. Heid, draws on 30 years of experience in residential building design and construction where he has planned, designed and oversaw the construction of hundreds of unique new homes during that time. He has been fortunate to work on a large variety of projects ranging from small decks and additions to whole house remodels and extravagant custom lake homes.
Our service area includes the entire Greater Minnesota and Northern Wisconsin areas including Brainerd lakes, St. Cloud, Little Falls, Brainerd, Gull Lake, Nisswa, Walker, Crosslake, Whitefish Chain, Bay Lake, Garrison, Aitkin, Alexandria, Detroit Lakes, Walker, Park Rapids, Grand Rapids.
In addition to the design process, working at construction companies throughout his early career has also provided Dan with knowledge of the challenges the building process can present. His practical experience in custom home building and construction estimating helps keep your project on budget from the first day of concept design.
